Stylish Blogger Award... Thank you Amy!

Good morning Everyone!
Wow, I kept seeing these awards being awarded and they have always brought a smile to my face... Just so nice from time to time to take a moment a recognize the hard work that people put into sharing with all of you / us! So, I am delighted that I now get to be the one to share the awards among you.  Amy from Amy's Stampin Place picked me!  Thank you, so much, for choosing me!!  You made me smile and hope to bring a smile on people's faces too!
Part of the award is to do the following:
When you receive this award you are to:

1) thank the person who gave this award to me and link it back to their blog

2) share 8 things about myself

3) pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered

4) leave a comment so that they can pass along the recognition:

So, with no further ado, 8 things about me:

1.) I was born and raise in french in Quebec, Canada and have been living in Ontario for the last 7 years with my hubby and my 6 and 1/2 year old "monkey"!

2.) I love to cook and bake... I restrain myself from doing it cause I hate to clean up the kitchen afterward.

3.) To this day, I am still terrified of thunderstorms, drains and faucets!

4.) Don't send me to the mall if there is a shoe sale... I will definitively adopt a pair and bring it home!

5.) When I am very excited about something good, it is really hard for me to keep the secret:-)

6.) Some people eat to live... If I didn't have all these weird food allergies, I would admit to being one of those that live to eat

7.) I love to let go of the little things by sitting down in my Stampin'Oasis and craft my heart away!

8.) I became a Stampin'Up! demonstrator for the discount as I love, love , love to craft.  I discovered that sharing this passion is even more fun then keeping all of this to myself... I am hoping that I can keep meeting awesome people, share and teach as well as learn and that they too will see the good in all of this! I never want this to feel like a 'job'.  It's my passion and you are welcome to join me.

Now, here are the 8 people I've chosen.  Please go check them out when you have time.  Thanks again for choosing me!  I hope you had fun learning a little about me.
  • Teneale... Gorgeous
  • Fanny... inspirational and story telling!
  • Monica... The passions
  • Nancy... for her good 'i'
  • Patty... for doing it ALL
  • Connie... For constantly sharing
  • Lori... Delightful
  • Julie... for her style and being a Julie, lol!!!!

Come learn with me... MDS style! Card one :-)

I had fun, almost one on one sharing.  The girls and I went through the basics of building a card, using the punches, stamps, embellishments and drop shadow features and we even took a quick tour on "how to create your own Blog banner" using MDS...

I will be doing it again soon, as soon as you let me know that you are interested.

To get ready for the class, Play in MDS and write down any questions that you might have to allow me to help you.  I have been playing with MDS since it came out therefore, I don't even think before I do something... It just happens.

Hope to hear from you soon, we will pick a date in March for the next one.

Here is the quick card that we made yesterday!

Sale-a-Bration...Open House

February 12th ... 1:00 - 3:00 pm

One quick visit, take a minute or two to make a quick card using Sale-a-Bration products, and why not pick up your Occasion mini catty and your Sale-a-Bration brochure (if you don't have yours already)

Door prizes, no RSVP needed and all of this is free!  I am only doing it from 1 till 3:00 pm.  Make sure to stop by! Everyone that comes will be going home with a little something from me for free...

Now, the important thing to remember is this.  I want to help you get as many things out of the Brochure for free and here is my suggestion:

Pick a date of my calendar  before March 31st to have your stamping party and get at least 3 people to attend that I have not met yet.

We will have a mini stamp a stack at your place (or mine if you think that it might be  easier... ). What I mean by "mini" is that the cards will be simple, we will make 4 cards instead of 5, times one instead of 2, the cost is free for those that place an order and $5 for those who don't.

You will get a to pick a free stamp set from Stampin'Up!'s current catties at the end of your party on me, a free stamp set from my special stash (retired) just for saying yes and sticking to it :-), a free product from the sale-a-bration brochure for every $60 spent (plus one more if your party reaches $395 in sales), you'll get to keep the hostess benefits, and you'll have a great time!... What do you have to lose? ... I'll provide the gluten-free jelly beans :-)

Catty case, just a little note!

If you guys are like me, you don't take time to look at the samples in the catties.  You just want all the products and then, you need to figure out how and where to use them:-)

So last Saturday at my January Stamp-a-Stack, I wanted to give the girls an super easy one to make, lol! I found this to be fun and quick!

  3. Cut a piece of So Saffron CS of 5 1/2" x 3".  Take the swirls from the Baroqie Motifs stamp set and stamp of once then stamp on your piece in So Saffron ink (Versa mark would have worked just as well)
  4. Using the Pacific Point ink, stamp the "just a little note" sentiment from the Apple Blossom Level 2 Hostess set at about 1 inch off the bottom on the So Saffron piece.
  5. Take to Paper Piercing tool and poke holes at the top and bottom as seen in the picture.
  6. Take dimensionals and pop up your butterflies.
  7. Stick the So Saffron onto a piece of 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" of Pacific Point CS
  8. Stick those 2 onto a pice of 5 1/2" x 4" of Sahara Sand DSP (this one shown is from the level one paper pack from last year, therefore it is retired)
